Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of India on Friday 9th of September 2011 held a National Day Reception devoted to the 20 - years of Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan. The National Day was held at the “ELYSEE”, Hotel the Suryaa in New Delhi, for this occasion, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in India invited more than 500 people, Diplomatic corps of India and guests. The Chief Guest of the occasion was the State Minister for Ministry of External Affairs, Mr. Shri. E. Ahmed. At this function, there were many other esteemed guests like, Mr. Shri Ravi Kapoor, Joint – Secretary Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Mrs. Mala Iyengar – Director Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry Government of India, Major - General I.P.Singh V.S.M. Additional Director General International Cooperation Directorate General of Military Intelligence Ministry of Defense, Mr. N.Tanwar Director - General of Military Intelligence for Division Ministry of Defense Government of India, Managing Director of “Khoday Group of Industries”, Mr. Hari Khoday, President of “CHL Company”, Mr. L.K. Malhotra and others. During the Reception, representatives from the political, economical, science and cultural Departments of the Republic of India had participated. During the National Day, the national anthems of both the countries were played and a film was showcased “Shining Tajikistan”.
