Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon and the President of the Republic of India Ram Nath Kovind exchanged congratulatory telegrams on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
In particular, in the congratulatory telegram of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon to the President of the Republic of India H.E. Mr. Ram Nath Kovind, it is said:
It is my pleasure to heartfeltly congratulate You with this joyous day of modern history of relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of India, the 25th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between our countries.
It is satisfactory that during these years two parties established trustworthy bilateral legal basis, traditional friendly relations and mutually beneficiary cooperation in different fields, and continuously have enhanced them with active and constructive efforts.
We believe that steady continuation of this process corresponds to national interests and aspiration of the people in two countries.
In this regard Tajikistan is ready to put all necessary efforts towards further development and enhancement of multifaceted partnership between the two countries.

Relations between India and Tajikistan have deep roots in history, language, traditions and culture.
